Our Production Control team is a critical part of our supply chain, responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating the flow of work required to build a variety of Impulse products. As a Production Control Supervisor at Impulse, you will oversee day-to-day production control activities and drive schedule execution to meet customer commitments. You will play a key role in leading continuous improvement efforts to optimize production planning, workflow visibility, and on-time delivery across our facilities.
Lead daily production control activities, including planning, scheduling, and work order management
Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and internal milestones
Monitor work-in-progress (WIP), capacity constraints, and material availability to proactively address delays
Coordinate cross-functionally with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Manufacturing teams
Ensure accurate ERP/MRP system data, including job status, routing, and inventory transactions
Drive schedule adherence and implement corrective actions for production variances
Support new product introduction (NPI) and transition from R&D to full-rate production
Analyze production metrics (on-time delivery, lead time, throughput) and implement process improvements
Supervise and mentor production control/planning staff as applicable
Ensure compliance with aerospace standards, including AS9100 and internal quality requirements
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of experience in production control, planning, or scheduling in a manufacturing environment
1+ year of leadership or supervisory experience
Experience working with ERP/MRP systems
Strong understanding of production workflows, capacity planning, and inventory control
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and bills of materials (BOMs)
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Experience in aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated industries
Familiarity with AS9100, ISO9001, or similar quality management systems
Experience supporting R&D-to-production or low-rate initial production environments
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
Proficiency with tools such as SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems
Strong analytical skills with experience using Excel or data visualization tools
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with shifting priorities
Additional Information: Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity.
