As a Test Technician (Electrical) at Impulse Space, you will own all aspects of test equipment implementation and operation while working closely with a fast paced, agile team.
Fabricate, assemble, operate and maintain test equipment. Perform testing operations on a variety of test equipment including pressurization and propellant systems. Fabricate and assemble electrical, power and data acquisition systems. Maintain major test facility assets including power supplies, distribution panels, solar cells and gas generators. Effectively troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation issues. Operate fluid and mechanical systems. Maintain tools, service shop equipment, and stock consumables. Provide direct test support for rocket engine testing.
High school diploma or equivalency certificate. 5+ years of professional experience in aerospace or other relevant operations or test environment. Experience with the safe operation of pressure, electrical, power and data acquisition systems. Proficient with basic fabrication tools and processes (electric/pneumatic power tools). Proficient with wiring, electrical and instrumentation systems with the ability to effectively troubleshoot problems. Experience with multimeters and basic electrical troubleshooting tools. Ability to fabricate parts and assemblies from basic technical requirements.
Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced agile development environment. Demonstrated experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, an understanding for drawing symbols, flag notes and general notes. Attention to detail and accuracy while working within a fast-paced production environment. Demonstrated experience with data acquisition and instrumentation systems. Demonstrated experience with writing, using, and updating test procedures, checklists, and documentation. Demonstrated experience with bonding strain gauges and accelerometers. Demonstrated experience with calibration/metrology of pressure, flow, temperature, and electrical test devices.
Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity.
