- The Mechanical Engineer II will play a key role in the development of next-generation reentry vehicles for Inversion Space.
- Responsibilities include owning mechanical engineering systems that enable accurate and precise landings of the Arc spacecraft.
- The role involves developing systems for parachute deployment, control actuation, and conducting loads analysis.
- Candidates will conduct aerial drop test campaigns to test landing and recovery systems, as well as environmental testing.
- This position requires working closely with the Accurate Landing team and reporting to the Director of Engineering.

- A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field is required, with a master's degree preferred.
- Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in developing mechanical systems and mechanisms.
- Strong practical mechanical design skills are essential, particularly in high load environments and user interface design.
- Familiarity with CAD software, specifically Siemens NX, is necessary for this role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are crucial for collaboration within a dynamic startup environment.
