Senior Recruiter
As a Senior Recruiter, you will play a critical role in scaling our Air Operations organization. This team is the heartbeat of Joby's commercial future, encompassing everything from global operations to our in-house pilot and maintenance academy. You will own the full-cycle recruitment process, sourcing and hiring the talent that will keep us running operationally and commercially on a global scale.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced setting, collaborating closely with senior leaders and hiring managers to attract top talent, and ensure a smooth, data-driven recruitment process. This role requires experience and an understanding of both technical and business positions, strong interpersonal skills, and a passion for finding top talent.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with executive leaders and hiring managers to assess workforce needs, forecast hiring demands and build targeted talent pipelines.
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including creating compelling job descriptions aligned with teams needs, sourcing, screening, and owning high-level offer negotiations.
- Recruit for a wide range of specialized roles, including Safety, Flight Operations, Go-to-Market, Infrastructure Engineering, and Environmental + Sustainability.
- Conduct structured interviews and coordinate technical assessments
- Build and maintain scalable recruiting strategies, providing leadership with regular updates on metrics like time-to-fill and pipeline health.
- Build long-term relationships with passive candidates and represent Joby at industry events, tech conferences, and career meetups.
Required
- BA/BS degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or similar field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in full-cycle recruiting.
- Demonstrated experience partnering directly with C-level executives.
- Proven ability to understand and communicate complex technical and business-related requirements.
- Experience recruiting for both technical and business related positions.
- Demonstrated proficiency using data driven decision making.
- Experience with applicant tracking systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized and adaptable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Strong sense of urgency and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to be in person in Santa Cruz, CA or Marina, CA a minimum of 3 days per week.
Desired
- Experience with iCIMS ATS system.
- Experience using Gem CRM.
- International recruiting experience.
- Background in aerospace, advanced manufacturing, high-tech or start-up industries.
Additional Information
Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $118,000 - $187,800/yr. The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
