Joby Program Manager Lead
In this role, you will function as a key liaison between the Supply Chain organization and internal stakeholders, including Joby's Executive Teams, Engineering, and Manufacturing. The Program Manager Lead will collaborate closely with their Supply Chain team members, including Global Supply Managers and Supplier Industrialization Engineers across all commodities on behalf of Supply Chain leadership. The Program Manager Lead will work closely with the core Program/Project team to manage high-visibility, high-value programs, applying program/project management skills to ensure the timely and efficient execution of projects.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing and developing a growing team of supply chain program managers to direct cross-functional supply chain activities.
- Tracking and delivering progress across programs/products on supply chain readiness.
- Developing mitigation strategies working with cross-functional teams and driving actions.
- Leading the team in continuous improvement of program management processes.
- Creating and maintaining OKRs for the Supply Chain Organization.
- Defining, implementing, and driving execution of project requirements, workflows, and plans.
- Developing robust systems to track the progress of critical path readiness across the global supply chain.
- Collecting information and generating presentations to clearly and concisely communicate risk to the executive team.
- Developing timelines to plan out part readiness against program timing and developing relationships with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure a steady flow of information.
- Understanding a broad range of manufacturing processes, both at suppliers and internally, to better identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Representing the Supply Chain team for risk mitigation and escalation discussions with the Executive team, in collaboration with the Commodity Group Manager.
- Understanding the sourcing process and driving the team for timing and execution accountability.
Required qualifications include:
- Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or Operations Management (MBA or other advanced degree is a plus).
- At least 8 years of project/program management or strategic, supply chain experience in a fast-paced, highly fluid environment; experience in a manufacturing organization strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated, applied experience delivering complex programs and projects.
- Superior analytical skills and the ability to use data and metrics to justify business decisions; knowledge of Microsoft Power BI is a plus.
- Experience developing succinct, crisp executive summaries and presenting to leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment to achieve business objectives. Ability to work independently in an ambiguous environment.
- Open-minded self-starter with the ability to adapt, improvise, and problem solve.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders: Programs, Design, Global Supply Management, Supplier Industrialization, Planning, Logistics, New Program Introduction, and Finance.
Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $124,600 - $213,800 per year. The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
