- The role involves collaborating with design engineers to ensure manufacturability for initial designs, flight hardware, and tooling. - The successful candidate will develop innovative manufacturing systems for large spacecraft assemblies, including electromechanical sub-assemblies and mechanisms. - Creating custom tools and processes to support manufacturing technologies, including Manufacturing Execution System (MES) software, is a key responsibility. - The engineer will demonstrate advanced manufacturing techniques on prototypes and work with design teams to enhance manufacturability. - The position requires developing subassembly build flows and iterating to create efficient production flows for satellites.

âš¡ Requirements

- A bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, aerospace, or a relevant engineering discipline is essential for this role. - The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in a high-volume, rapid production environment, particularly in manufacturing, integration, or design engineering. - Proven experience in product development and process improvements is crucial for success in this position. - Candidates should have a strong background in setting up manufacturing or production floors for first article builds. - Experience in designing and implementing technologies for avionics subassembly manufacturing, including wire harness manufacturing and PCBA/mechanical enclosure assembly, is highly desirable.
