✨ About The Role
- Responsible for owning complex hardware throughout the lifecycle, from conceptual design through test and production for Loft satellites
- Develop design criteria, collaborate on requirements, and drive satellite system optimization
- Conduct detailed structural and thermal analysis to design robust space hardware and support environmental and performance testing
- Work closely with partner teams such as flight software, embedded systems, integration & test, and on-orbit operations
- Rapidly iterate on designs and analysis to inform high-level systems trades and steer overall product direction

- Experienced mechanical engineer with a background in spacecraft hardware ownership and end-to-end satellite program experience
- Proficient in 3D CAD, particularly Solidworks, and skilled in thermal and structural design and analysis
- Ability to work autonomously with little oversight and demonstrate strong ownership of technical deliverables
- Passionate about the aerospace industry and excited about the opportunity to work on complex space hardware
- Strong communicator who can articulate ideas effectively and handle customer meetings confidently
