Position Description
As a Mechanical Engineer Intern, you will:
- Collaborate on 3D modelling using CAD software.
- Ensure designs meet technical specifications.
- Assist to build prototypes and testing components.
- Analyse test data and recommend design improvements.
- Maintain detailed records of design changes and test results.
- Update engineering drawings and specifications.
- Work closely with electrical engineers and software developers.
- Integrate mechanical, electrical, and software systems.
- Identify and address design and manufacturing challenges.
- Select materials suitable for lunar conditions.
- Implement quality control measures for manufactured parts.
- Contribute effectively to team objectives.
- Adhere to safety protocols at all stages of work.
Preferred Disciplines
Mechatronics, Robotics, Engineering, Systems, Mechanical Engineering.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years' experience studying an engineering discipline at university.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers and software developers, to integrate mechanical systems with other components.
- Confidence to participate in design reviews and provide feedback and recommendations to improve system performance.
- Must be legally permitted to work in Australia.
