Responsibilities

Conduct detailed inspections of carbon materials and batteries at various stages of the production process to identify defects or deviations from quality standards.

Perform various tests on battery components and finished products, including but not limited to electrical, mechanical, and environmental tests, to ensure they meet specified requirements.

Analyze test data, prepare detailed reports on findings, and recommend corrective actions to address any identified issues.

Work closely with production teams to implement quality control measures and improve product quality.

Participate in root cause analysis for product failures and develop strategies to prevent future occurrences.

Train and guide production staff on quality control practices and the importance of adhering to standards.

Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations during testing and handling of materials.

Requirements & Qualifications

Associate Degree in a technical field (or equivalent experience)

Receiving, Manufacturing and/or Battery experience are a plus.

Experience with SQL, Jira and Tableau are a plus.

Ability to read technical & engineering drawings

Ability to use a variety of precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, Microscope, height gauge, optical measuring machines (OMM), coordinate measuring machines (CMM), etc.

Must have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).

Physical & Mental Requirements

Must be able to sit, stand and use a computer for extended periods of time.

Must be able to communicate effectively.

Must be able to lift, up to 50 lbs.

No physical limitations to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators when required.

Must collaborate and work well with other team members.

Must be able to occasionally work in a dry room setting.

The expected base salary range for this position is between $26.00 - $39.00. The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant prior experience and/or education, or particular skills and expertise.

In addition to base pay this position is eligible for tier based bonus and equity, healthcare, dental, vision, corporate discounts, paid holidays, PTO and sick time, 401K, employee relocation plan (if applicable).
