Lyten is an advanced materials company developing next-generation 3D Graphene. We are seeking a motivated Process Engineering Intern to join the EM Tech Support team this summer. This hands-on role offers exposure to industry-standard process development and real-world scale-up challenges at Lyten's San Jose facility. The intern will work closely with the EM Tech Support team to support reactor builds and maintain reactor build inventory. Candidates should have a strong technical foundation, a data-driven mindset, and a proactive attitude, and be eager to learn in a dynamic R&D environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support EM technicians with 6S activities in the Osgood and Baytech labs
  • Assist in documenting the SkyLyte build process
  • Help label, organize, and maintain reactor build inventory
  • Collect, analyze, and document experimental data; communicate findings clearly
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions and process improvements

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing an Associates or Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Team-oriented with strong communication skills
  • Positive attitude and professional demeanor

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand and work in a dry room environment for up to 6 hours per day

Compensations Range:

The expected base salary range for this position is between

$25.00 - $32.00

The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant prior experience and/or education, or particular skills and expertise. New hires joining the company tend to be paid within the starting base pay range noted above, with opportunities to increase pay over time based on development of additional skills, competencies, and company-specific knowledge.

In addition to base pay this position is eligible for tier based bonus and equity, healthcare, dental, vision, corporate discounts, paid holidays, PTO and sick time, 401K, employee relocation plan (if applicable)
