- The role involves working with suppliers and cross-functional teams to develop equipment specifications and acceptance tests.
- Responsibilities include designing equipment modules and components to improve current equipment for new materials and manufacturing methods.
- The engineer will identify equipment issues, design solutions, and implement them to enhance equipment effectiveness and reliability.
- Conducting equipment DFMEA to identify risks and mitigate them early is a key responsibility.
- The position requires managing external equipment suppliers from initial development through to high-volume production.
⚡ Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field is required, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience in mechanical design of equipment parts and automation using Solidworks or similar CAD software is essential.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop project plans and solutions for challenges outside of core expertise are necessary.
- Experience in cell manufacturing and automated mechanical assembly will be beneficial for success in this role.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills are important for effective communication within cross-functional teams.
