Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Sr. Production Planner to join our Graphene and Battery Operations team. The successful candidate will need to have a good understanding of production planning and master scheduling and know how to interact with cross functional teams to drive plan execution. The role will be responsible for performing production planning activities around making a weekly and monthly production plan and translating to the day-to-day production schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Create, maintain and communicate a weekly production schedule using capacity, material constraints, and demand as inputs.
  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed, to meet changing demands.
  • Manage shipment schedule to meet customer delivery commitments.
  • Provide guidance on production capacity, lead times, and volumes to support Sales and Operations. Identify potential capacity bottlenecks that will affect the build plan.
  • Manage work orders generated from the MRP run and ensure they seamlessly get created and communicated to the MES environment in collaboration with relevant team members.
  • Maintain relevant master data to fabricated (manufactured in-house) subassembly parts in different systems once engineering change control releases are completed.
  • Analyze data and generate reports on production performance and inventory metrics.
  • Build and maintain communication relationships with cross functional teams to manage supply and demand issues, resolve work order variances and establish and track root cause (e.g. sourcing and procurement, accounts payable, quality, engineering, etc.)
  • Perform capacity analysis in to support what-if scenarios, forecast changes, and plan for production growth.
  • Develop procedures and train new team members if applicable.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering or other related field or equivalent experience PLUS 5 years of related experience in materials management, production planning, scheduling, material planning, or purchasing in a manufacturing environment OR a Master's degree in supply chain, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering or other related field or equivalent experience PLUS 3 years of related experience in materials management, production planning, scheduling, material planning, or purchasing in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in production planning, master scheduling, materials management, or material planning in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, including ability to maintain and enhance Excel-based material shortage reports.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, including ability to optimize production schedule and workforce utilization are desired.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks based on demand.
  • Ability to present build plan/schedule status effectively in weekly program/executive meetings
  • Open-minded, collaborative and team-oriented attitude. Self-motivation and resourcefulness

Preferred Qualifications:

  • APICS CPIM or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software, enterprise system inventory management system such as MES is a plus

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel between facilities and lift up to 70 pounds

Compensations Range:

The expected base salary range for this position is between $106,000.00 - $159,000.00. The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant prior experience and/or education, or particular skills and expertise.

In addition to base pay this position is eligible for tier based bonus and equity, healthcare, dental, vision, corporate discounts, paid holidays, PTO and sick time, 401K, employee relocation plan (if applicable).
