✨ About The Role

- The Robotics Engineering Intern will work on designing, developing, and operating robotic systems for manufacturing automation - Responsibilities include designing software for path planning and control of robotic end-effectors, integrating sensors, and developing closed-loop control software - The intern will collaborate with team members to define requirements, operate robots using developed software, and integrate tooling and sensors - Rapid prototyping to verify design concepts, balancing short- and long-term objectives, and taking charge of the full software development lifecycle are key aspects of the role - The intern will contribute to the development of the first commercial robotic sheet metal forming machine at Machina Labs

⚡ Requirements

- Experience in robotics, controls, motion planning, simulation, and sensor integration is essential for success in this role - Strong background in statistical methods for modeling complex systems, including machine learning, is highly beneficial - Proficiency in developing real-time software and familiarity with software development design paradigms is required - Understanding of robot kinematics and dynamics, as well as experience with robotic software frameworks like ROS, is crucial - Previous experience with manufacturing processes and process instrumentation is advantageous
