Maybell Quantum is redefining the future of computing. As a venture-backed quantum hardware innovator experiencing rapid growth, we're building technology that will transform industries for decades to come. Quantum computers will be as transformative to the next 30 years as the internet was to the last 30. Our team is creating the hardware foundation to make this revolution possible.

Maybell is seeking a skilled and forward-thinking Production Planning & Optimization Specialist to join our dynamic team. Reporting directly to the Director of Hardware Manufacturing, this role goes beyond traditional production planning; shaping how our manufacturing organization meets demand, scales capacity, and drives continuous improvement.

You will develop and execute data-driven production strategies, optimize product flow, and collaborate across functions to align demand, supply, and operational capabilities. This position is ideal for someone passionate about lean manufacturing and continuous improvement, eager to influence how we grow and scale our production operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and manage short and long-term production plans and schedules that align with demand forecasts, resource capacity, material availability, and delivery commitments on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Continuously analyze and optimize production flow, capacity utilization, and workload distribution to improve throughput and reduce bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with production, supply chain, engineering, and sales teams to anticipate demand shifts and proactively adjust plans.
  • Monitor production execution and adjust schedules in real time to address changes in demand, supply delays, or unexpected production issues.
  • Drive scaling initiatives including line expansion, process reconfiguration, and best practices for new product introduction (NPI).
  • Lead targeted improvement projects focused on cycle time reduction, flow and cost optimization, inventory reduction and schedule adherence.
  • Implement and sustain lean manufacturing principles (e.g., pull systems, takt time alignment, Kanban) to improve product flow and eliminate waste.
  • Monitor and report key production metrics (e.g., schedule adherence, throughput, capacity utilization), highlighting risks and recommending actions.
  • Leverage MES, ERP/MRP systems and advanced analytics tools to refine planning processes and improve decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of demonstrable experience in production planning and scheduling.
  • Deep expertise in lean manufacturing systems and product flow analysis.
  • Strong understanding of production processes, capacity planning, and inventory management.
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP and production planning software.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills across cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • APICS CPIM or similar certification.
  • Proficiency in advanced data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, advanced Excel).
  • Experience with scaling operations and implementing new production systems.
  • Knowledge of MES (e.g., Tulip), VLS (e.g. Modula, Kardex) and ERP (CIN7).

Ideal Candidate Profile

A highly analytical and proactive manufacturing professional with a strong foundation in production planning, process optimization, and lean manufacturing principles. They excel at turning data into actionable plans, anticipating and resolving bottlenecks, and collaborating across functions to align demand, capacity, and production flow. This person thrives in dynamic, growth-oriented environments and is eager to shape how operations scale and improve over time.

What We Offer

  • Competitive Compensation: Base salary ranges from $80,000 to $120,000. Additional compensation through performance bonuses and equity
