Senior DevOps - Architect

Mirantis Inc. seeks a Senior DevOps - Architect at its facility located at 14205 North Mopac Expressway, Austin, TX 78728. The Senior DevOps - Architect will plan and deploy customized OpenStack and Kubernetes cloud solutions for customers. Work with Hardware and Software Architects to craft the next generation telco hosting platforms. Apply understanding of software architecture, system software technologies, and modern OSes to drive hardware architecture decisions. Report and repair OpenStack and Kubernetes Open-Source bugs. Provide direction and advice for designing optimized solutions to various software engineering organizations and departments. Research upcoming industry directions for key markets and provide engagement advice to Sr. Management. Provide production support expertise with scope to long term effects of issues and release prioritization. Facilitate knowledge transfer to the customers during deployment projects. Contribute to OpenStack and Kubernetes releases in the upstream community. Participate in global public activities: including user groups, conferences, and company blogs. Extend functionality for OpenStack and Kubernetes cloud solutions. Telecommuting permitted

Minimum Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.

Experience: Five (5) years of post-baccalaureate progressive experience in job offered, Software Engineer, or in a related occupation.

Academic training or work experience in the following:

1. Kubernetes

2. OpenStack

3. Python, Ruby, or PHP

4. SQL, MySQL, Postgres, or Oracle

5. Docker

6. Linux or UNIX
