Mirantis is looking for a Software Engineer passionate about shaping the future of AI-powered developer tools. In this role, you'll work on a brand-new AI-focused developer tool, expanding our industry-leading Lens product family. This solution will empower AI application developers, streamlining how modern teams develop AI-driven applications.
At Mirantis, we strive to deliver world-class user experiences and craft products that are beautiful inside and out. As a key contributor, you'll work on a high-impact, greenfield Electron-based desktop application. Your contributions will play a key role in Mirantis's broader AI/ML developer tools strategy, aligning with Lens and the wider Mirantis ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
Experience & Background: 3+ years of professional software development experience, ideally with exposure to developer tools or AI/ML-powered applications. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience is a plus.
Core Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Golang, TypeScript, Node.js, and React, with a focus on scalable, production-grade applications.
Electron Expertise: Experience building, optimizing, and securing desktop applications with Electron, ensuring cross-platform performance (Windows, macOS, Linux).
AI & LLM Expertise: Familiarity with LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, etc.) and how developers integrate AI into applications.
User-Centric Mindset: Strong developer empathy with a passion for creating intuitive, high-quality developer tools.
Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across engineering, product, and design teams.
