About this Role:

The Overwatch Imaging Product Marketing Intern is responsible for supporting the positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy for our Automated Sensor Operator (ASO) product. This roles serves as the bridge between product development, sales, and marketing teams to ensure ASO connects with future users. Key responsibilities include conducting market research, defining target audiences and user personas, creating compelling messaging and demonstration content, and developing sales enablement materials and demo datasets. This role will also analyze customer feedback and the market landscape to refine product positioning and optimize marketing campaigns. Strong storytelling, strategic thinking, user empathy, and cross-functional collaboration skills are essential to drive product awareness, demand, and revenue growth.

What you'll do:

· Create User Stories: Define user stories, identify diverse customer use cases, and determine Minimum Viable Product (MVP) plus product increments with product manager using data to support decisions.

· Growth Marketing Strategy : Map out defense market for intelligence sensor hardware and software. Gather data on competitive and collaborative landscape of firms. Find white space to feasibly deliver the product to both partners and end users.

· Be a Customer Advocate : Understand the needs and language of the customer through customer interviews and research on military concepts of operation. Create relevant marketing materials that speak the customer's language.

· Analyze Contracting Opportunities : Research buyers and government contracting opportunities – create buyer persona profiles and gather data to inform sales team and leadership of opportunities.

· Cross Functional Teamwork : Work with marketing manager to create go-to-market strategies and execute on multi-channel marketing operations. Support product manager in shaping new product offerings. Support sales team through travel to industry events as needed.

What You'll Bring:

Experience and Education:

· Understanding of the defense contracting and acquisitions system, especially for venture-backed startup businesses

· Experience with intelligence systems operating on or in conjunction with aerostats, towers, and piloted or unmanned aircraft

· Experience in creating product strategies to navigate market dynamics

· Entrepreneurial experience creating new software products and service offerings a plus

· 5+ years of relevant work experience required; graduate education degree (MBA, Ph.D., etc) and relevant military experience a plus

Technical Competence:

· Comfort with business-to-business contracting

· Understanding of imagery intelligence workflows, geospatial software, image data analytics, and AI

· Productivity & work management tools: JIRA and Confluence

· Experience in agile software development work settings and DevOps

· Understanding of company financial statements and budgeting
