✨ About The Role
- Collaborate with engineering teams to derive product architecture, present technical direction, and build consensus on the path forward
- Execute all phases of hardware development including requirements capture, prototyping, design validation, and manufacturing readiness
- Design block diagrams, select components for various systems, and conduct failure mode analysis of safety-critical hardware
- Create and execute design experiments for decisions on architecture, component selection, and manufacturing processes
- Support manufacturing, vehicle integration, and validation processes to ensure successful hardware development
⚡ Requirements
- Experienced mechanical engineer with 5-8 years of relevant industry experience, preferably in hardware development and machine design
- Strong background in mechanical engineering skills including mechanical drawing creation, structural analysis, material selection, and failure mechanisms
- Proficient in analytical/scientific programming languages such as Python, Matlab, or Simulink
- Skilled in using commercial CAD tools and FEA or multi-physics simulation packages
- Ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, present technical direction, and execute hardware development phases
