  • Focus on Core Use Cases: Drive the product to solve real, critical customer problems where Planet has a durable competitive advantage, primarily focusing on forensics and large-scale daily change use cases.
  • Team Collaboration: Be a core member of the initial product team, collaborating with Executive Sponsors, Engineering Manager, Designer, and Tech Lead.
  • Product Launch: You are taking this product from "zero-to-one". You will lead the team through critical development phases, from early Beta testing to General Availability (GA), to ensure the product successfully meets all stringent criteria for both technology and customer acceptance.

What You Bring:

  • 10+ years of product management experience, ideally in Earth Observation or geospatial domain, with a passion for bringing cutting edge concepts to life.
  • "Zero-to-one" experience: excellent product management skills honed to bring strategic concepts to reality; build, test, launch and iterate with velocity.
  • Knowledgeable about the latest in AI innovation, embeddings and MCP especially at the intersection of these technologies and data challenges of remote sensing
  • Obsession for understanding customer needs, what they value and the problems they are setting out to solve
  • Expert at internal and external stakeholder management
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
  • Superb analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-informed decision-making approach.
  • Experience launching early stage products that deliver results

What Makes You Stand Out:

  • Experience with AI-based products in geospatial and remote sensing applications
  • Experience building and scaling strategic product initiatives that serve multiple market segments.
