✨ About The Role

- Responsible for developing next-generation onboard and ground radios and antenna systems for small satellites at Planet - Design and test RF/MW hardware transceivers and circuits up to 30GHz, including simulation, instrumentation, and characterization - Conduct EMI testing and mitigation, antenna design, simulation, and testing, and work on digital communications theory and signal processing algorithms - Collaborate with cross-functional teams on challenging design issues, conduct environmental and EMC testing on communication subsystems, and ensure mission success - Work on validation and verification of radios and antennas pre-shipment and post-launch performance validation on orbit

âš¡ Requirements

- Experienced RF and Microwave Engineer with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably with a Master's or PhD - Minimum of 6 years of engineering excellence in designing and maturing RF & MW systems, transceivers, antennas, and/or SDRs - Strong fundamentals in RF/MW, electromagnetics, and signal processing with a proven track record in RF/MW circuit design and layout - Extensive lab experience with RF/MW and mixed-signal board bring up, characterization, and testing using various equipment - Ability to adapt and learn new skills to contribute to the design of complex systems, including active RF circuits, integrated transceivers, and more
