Basic Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period of time. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities For This Position

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:

As a software engineer for General Dynamics Mission Systems in Quincy, MA, you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for designing and developing state-of-the-art applications for unmanned undersea systems. You will work on software encompassing the full life cycle of these systems, from embedded control code to GUI-based topside tools for planning and monitoring missions.

  • Experience developing software for autonomous government systems.
  • Excellent programming skills, specifically in C++.
  • User interface Web Development experience is a plus.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a product development team.
  • Linux and Windows experience is highly desirable; hardware experience is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

Workplace Options:

This position is Flex Onsite (3-4 days in office). While on-site, you will be a part of the Quincy software team.

This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.

Combined Salary Range

USD $115,674.00 - USD $128,325.00 /Yr.
