We hold the key to making quantum technology useful. Q-CTRL is defining the quantum infrastructure software segment, and our products are revolutionizing the way quantum technology is used. From educating the workforce on how quantum computing works with Black Opal, to our industry-first November 2023 announcement that Q-CTRL’s performance-management software is now natively integrated with IBM Quantum services, we are building the global quantum sector. About the role
As the VP of Sales & Marketing for Quantum Computing, you will be responsible for leading all product-driven revenue-growth strategies and execution. You'll have direct responsibility for sales and business development operations and provide key input into other functions of the company, including strategic partnerships. You'll have proven experience engaging a diverse range of customers from Fortune 1000 enterprises to public and private-sector research-driven organizations, and Universities to close and win contracts.
You will bring a proven track record of building high performing Sales teams and establishing clear direction translating strategies into ambitious, yet attainable plans. We are looking for a leader who can strategize, prioritize, and allocate resources to balance short-term business pressures against strategic growth opportunities, identification of new revenue sources, and long-term company goals.
What you'll be doing:
- Lead all Quantum Computing related revenue-growth strategies and execution.
- Own all sales operations and partnerships while providing input into all other company functions (including product, brand, PR, finance) that impact Sales.
- Create and implement processes to ensure smooth growth and execution of the Sales pipeline, including implementing new Sales methods and tools as needed, leveraging experience engaging Fortune 1000 enterprises and winning major commercial contracts.
- Build, manage, coach, and support a high-performing sales team, leveraging past experience in diverse sales environments.
- Establish clear direction to translate high-level strategies into ambitious, yet attainable plans, and constantly identify and close gaps in execution.
- Work closely with stakeholders to make critical decisions and priority calls.
- Become a known figure across the industry and quantum market and personally drive large complex deals and opportunities in collaboration with senior leaders
Your qualifications and behavioral attributes:
- 10 years in a combination of progressive leadership and operating roles in Sales, Growth and Business Development in growth-stage technology businesses.
- Demonstrated success in diverse sales environments including enterprise, commercial, research labs.
- Proven track record in scaling a business, attracting talent, and building a global team structure.
- Comfort pulling key information from and selling to Ph.D. level scientists and engineers.
- Strong management and interpersonal capability, enabling you to motivate and inspire a team, delegate effectively, and manage team performance.
- Tenacious focus on results to pursue and convert leads and accelerate sales cycles.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments Establishing and executing upon priorities with a strong sense of urgency.
- Ability to learn unfamiliar markets, understand how highly technical offerings can be best positioned and differentiated within them, and learn from technical expert colleagues.
- Future-thinking, strategically agile, and creative leadership mindset.
- A preference to lead by example to do what is needed.
- Exceptional attention to detail and focus on ensuring quality outputs in written, verbal, and visual presentations.
- Coachable, open and curious mindset.
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience leading organizations through change over long periods of time.
- Experience in working with quantum/AI/ML/Cloud/HPC or related complex technology in a matrix oriented environment.
- Educational background in physics/science/engineering with some understanding or fascination with quantum computing.
- Masters/MBA/Ph.D. desirableAwareness/ knowledge of trends in quantum computing.
- Obsession with customer metrics and insights to ensure the best possible business outcomes.
$170,000 - $357,500 a year
The US base salary range for this opportunity is determined by position, level, location and experience. Individual pay will be based on specific job-related skills, experience, education and other contributing factors determined throughout the interview process.
