✨ About The Role
- The Principal Platform Engineer will be responsible for building and operating hybrid-infrastructure developer platforms at an individual contributor level.
- The role involves providing guidance for the design and architecture of provisioning and maintaining Kubernetes clusters at a massive scale.
- The engineer will implement rapid proof of concept and pilots of new capabilities to demonstrate feasibility to application developers.
- Close collaboration with clients and key stakeholders is required to provide strategic input and navigate needs and tradeoffs.
- The position requires extensive experience in containerizing applications using Docker and orchestrating them on managed platforms.
- The engineer will be expected to maintain the underlying services required to host containerized applications effectively.
- The role may require obtaining Security+ certification within the first 90 days of employment.

- The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience maintaining production-grade Kubernetes clusters and working with multiple teams.
- A strong background in cloud infrastructure, particularly with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud, is essential.
- Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Java, Python, or Go is required for this role.
- The candidate should have experience in managing infrastructure and developing APIs/platform services for container services.
- Effective communication skills are necessary to interact with various stakeholders, both internal and external to the organization.
- The successful candidate will be comfortable mentoring junior developers and engineers, fostering a collaborative team environment.
