- The Principal Platform Engineer will be responsible for the deployment, management, and maintenance of compute infrastructure supporting Kubernetes platforms.
- Common tasks include designing and maintaining physical and virtual infrastructure architectures to provide compute resources to Kubernetes clusters.
- The role involves deploying and managing physical and virtual compute resources, including AWS EC2 and EBS resources.
- The engineer will develop and deploy Linux and/or Windows servers and maintain storage arrays.
- The creation and maintenance of automation scripts and pipelines will be a key responsibility.
- The position may require up to 25% travel, indicating a need for flexibility in work arrangements.

- The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of relevant hands-on experience in deploying and managing cloud compute resources.
- A strong background in AWS services, particularly EC2, EBS, and S3, is essential for success in this role.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IAC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible is highly valued.
- The candidate should possess a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- The ability to obtain Security+ certification within 90 days of employment is required.
- Preferred qualifications include experience managing compute resources for Kubernetes clusters and hardening operating systems.
- Candidates should be local to specific areas or willing to work remotely while being able to travel as needed.
