Rainmaker is pioneering a modern cloud seeding system to solve water scarcity and inclement weather problems. We develop and incorporate radar validation, weather-resistant UAS, numerical weather modeling, and sustainable cloud seeds into an effective precipitation enhancement solution.

The Engineering team at Rainmaker works on our UAS, dispersion payload, and in-situ/remote sensing systems. We are seeking a versatile technician to support engineering and manufacturing across vehicle systems, remote sensing, and materials handling. Work with complex electromechanical systems from prototype through production deployment.

What You'll Do

• Assemble and test drone and radar platforms
• Perform harness integration and electrical assemblies
• Support field operations and maintenance protocols
• Execute builds using CNC machining, manual tools, and fabrication equipment
• Perform quality control on incoming materials and finished assemblies
• Troubleshoot electromechanical systems and implement design changes
• Support production scaling and process improvement

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma with technical training (welding/manufacturing preferred)
• 3+ years hands-on experience with electromechanical systems
• Proficiency in TIG/MIG welding (aluminum, steel, stainless)
• Experience with CNC operation, manual machining, and precision measurement
• Basic programming skills (Python preferred)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with aerospace or drone systems
• Knowledge of electrical harnessing and PCB assembly
• CAD software familiarity (AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
