✨ About The Role
- The Senior Mechanical Engineer will support cross-functional engineering efforts across all systems of REGENT's seagliders
- Responsibilities include developing static and kinematic systems, presenting designs to stakeholders, and working on various mechanical tasks from actuation systems to propulsion test fixtures
- The role requires individuals to embrace tasks that require both depth of experience and on-the-job training/education
- Candidates with additional experience in electrical engineering will be highly valued as many mechanical systems interface with electrical components
- The position offers growth opportunities in people and project management, with the potential to evolve into a leadership role in future product development.
⚡ Requirements
- Ideal candidate has 5-8 years of experience in the aerospace or aviation field, with a background in highly regulated, weight, and safety critical applications
- Strong foundation in statics, mechanics, materials, and thermodynamics is essential for success in this role
- Experience with CAD packages, analytical software for FEA and thermal analysis, and programming tools like MATLAB/Simulink or Python is highly valued
- Ability to work collaboratively with various engineering disciplines and support requirements management and validation efforts
- Strong communication skills, willingness to learn and teach, and a focus on safety and quality are key attributes for this position
