✨ About The Role
- Design and develop software infrastructure for hardware-in-the-loop and software-in-the-loop testing, vehicle configuration, and deployment for the Terran-R rocket
- Collaborate with stakeholders from Avionics, Guidance Navigation and Control, Propulsion, Test, and Launch Operations to define and refine software requirements
- Advocate for best practices in unit and system integration tests in CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable deployments of vehicle systems
- Support stakeholder teams in adopting tools and systems to verify vehicle configuration and enable successful launches
- Scale systems and processes to rapidly iterate development of the Terran-R rocket and contribute to Relativity Space's mission of a multiplanetary future
âš¡ Requirements
- Experienced software engineer with 5+ years in the aerospace industry, specializing in software development for rockets and launch operations
- Proficient in modern C++, Rust, Python, or Java with a strong background in continuous integration and agile development
- Skilled in developing software for Linux or Unix operating systems and familiar with containerization and deployment technologies like Kubernetes and Docker
- Excellent communicator with a customer-focused mindset, able to work collaboratively with stakeholders and partner teams to refine software requirements and design documents
- Passionate about promoting best development and testing practices, mentoring engineers, and driving the team's velocity through process improvements and modern tools
