Full Stack Engineer
Reveal is searching for a Full Stack Engineer who will shape the technical core of Chronos, Reveal's next-generation training and logistics platform for defense users. This role owns end-to-end development of progressive web applications and agentic AI workflows that operate across mobile and desktop and must perform reliably in mission-critical, low-connectivity environments. The engineer will build, scale, and secure the foundational systems underlying scheduling, readiness, workflow automation, and data synchronization for units across the Army. The environment is early-stage, fast-moving, and requires someone who can drive architecture decisions, deliver high-quality code, and build production systems from the ground up.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Ruby on Rails applications with PostgreSQL databases
- Develop progressive web applications optimized for mobile and desktop
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and database schemas
- Deploy and manage applications using Kubernetes and containerization
- Design data models for mission-critical defense and logistics systems
- Implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices
- Optimize application performance and offline capabilities
- Work closely with product and design teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Participate in code reviews and maintain high code quality standards
- Build tools that support military readiness and logistics operations
- Ensure applications meet security and compliance requirements
- Integrate with DoD systems and secure data pipelines
Requirements
- 3-7 years of experience in full stack development
- Strong experience in Ruby on Rails, Docker, and Kubernetes is a must.
- Experience with Python.
- Due to the nature of our work, qualified candidates must be US Citizens.
- Familiarity with frontend technologies (React, TypeScript, Tailwind).
- Experience working with a modern DBMS (PostgreSQL, or similar).
- Developed database schemas and implemented a corresponding object model.
- Experience with authentication/authorization best practices.
- Comfort working in fast-moving, early-stage environments.
Nice to Haves
- Understanding of RMF compliance, FedRAMP, or NIST 800-53 security standards.
- Ability to obtain a Government Security Clearance.
- Prior work with DoD systems or military logistics/training software. (e.g., SSO, DoD CAC integration, OAuth2, x509).
- Experience with project mapping tools (e.g., task hierarchy engines, Gantt timelines) and project management-type tools; experience with Geospatial Information Systems is also a plus.
- Knowledge of military doctrine, niche data, and mission sets, or working with military SMEs.
Compensation
- Salary ($130,000-$170,000) + Equity
- Salary is determined by the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
