Job Overview

We are seeking an Integration Technician responsible for the assembly, integration, and testing of our autonomous surface vessels (ASVs). You will work closely with our engineering and development teams to ensure the seamless integration of various components and maritime systems. You will be critical in delivering fully functional ASVs that meet the rigorous standards of the DoD. The hours for 2nd shift are 2:30pm - 10:00pm.

Responsibilities

System Integration: Collaborate with engineers to integrate hardware, software, sensors, and communication systems into ASV platforms

Assembly and Configuration: Assemble and configure ASV components, including propulsion systems, navigation equipment, payloads, and control systems

Testing and Validation: Conduct thorough testing and validation procedures to verify the functionality, performance, and reliability of integrated ASV systems

Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot technical issues related to integration, ensuring timely resolution to maintain project timelines

Documentation: Maintain detailed records of integration processes, test results, and configuration changes to support documentation and quality assurance requirements

Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, software developers, and project managers, to coordinate integration activities and achieve project goals

Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the ongoing improvement of integration processes, tools, and techniques to enhance efficiency and effectiveness

Qualifications

Associate's degree or equivalent technical certification in electronics, mechatronics, or a related field. Bachelor's degree preferred

Proven experience in system integration, preferably in the maritime or defense industry

Strong technical skills with the ability to interpret schematics, diagrams, and technical specifications

Proficiency in using tools and equipment for assembly, testing, and troubleshooting electronic and mechanical systems

Familiarity with autonomous systems, robotics, and sensor technologies is preferred

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Effective communication and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

Physical Requirements

Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours a day

Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours a day, including over varied and uneven terrain

Frequently and repetitively, lift, push and carry up to 35 lbs., including the ability to carry 20 lbs. up and down stairs

Frequently and repetitively, bend, lift and reach to install parts

Stoop, lay, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch, twist and crawl for extended periods of time, including up to 12 hours a day

Climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding or other high structures Ability to find issues in a work process and receive safety signals using sight, touch, and hearing

Wearing Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to: safety glasses, safety shoes, bump cap and adhering to prescribed safety rules and guidelines
