  • Document hardware designs by creating detailed engineering drawings applying ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards
  • Perform stress and mechanical tolerance studies, develop testing procedures, and generate appropriate test reports to document analysis outcomes
  • Develop testing methods to validate product capabilities to satisfy internal and customer design criteria

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or greater in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Aerospace Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field.
  • 2+ years designing, analyzing and testing complex mechanical systems
  • Strong fundamentals in core engineering concepts, including, but not limited to, solid mechanics, machine design, static, materials science, thermodynamics and fluid mechanics
  • Proven experience with product development and the entirety of the product life cycle
  • Proficiency with CAD and finite element analysis software, such as SolidWorks and FEMAP
  • Demonstrated success developing innovative solutions to a broad range of mechanical engineering problems

Physical Demands

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Occasional standing and walking within the office
  • Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment
  • Visual acuity to read screens, documents, and reports
