✨ About The Role
- Lead structural analysis and simulation efforts to assess and optimize the performance and reliability of Autonomous Surface Vessels (ASVs) structures
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to integrate structural considerations into the overall design process
- Conduct detailed analysis of stress, strain, and deformation to identify potential failure modes and areas for design improvement
- Lead testing and validation efforts to verify structural performance of ASV designs, interpreting test results and providing recommendations for design modifications
- Generate comprehensive technical reports and documentation to communicate analysis findings, recommendations, and design rationale to internal teams and stakeholders
âš¡ Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with an advanced degree preferred
- Significant experience in structural analysis and simulation, particularly with finite element analysis (FEA) software like ANSYS, Abaqus, or Nastran
- Strong understanding of structural mechanics, materials science, and fatigue analysis, with practical application experience
- Proven ability to lead and mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and expertise in structural analysis methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving skills and innovative thinking to address challenging engineering issues
