Job Overview

This role leads the strategy, implementation, and long-term management of all People systems across the company. You'll oversee our core HRIS and the broader people tech ecosystem, including tools for onboarding, learning, performance, benefits, compliance, and data flow across teams. This role is the primary owner of systems architecture, integrations, reporting, and governance for the People function.

You'll partner closely with IT, Finance, and leadership to design scalable processes, strengthen data integrity, and evolve our people technology stack as we grow. This is a senior, highly technical role with significant influence on how our systems support the employee lifecycle and business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture, configuration, and ongoing governance of all People systems.
  • Own the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new platforms, major upgrades, and integrations.
  • Build long-term systems roadmaps that support growth, compliance, and operational efficiency.
  • Manage complex system changes including workflow design, automation, permissions, and cross-platform alignment.
  • Partner with IT to build and maintain reliable integrations between HRIS, payroll, ATS, benefits, and other systems.
  • Help guide long-term strategy and performance of the applicant tracking system, ensuring it supports scalable hiring processes and smooth data flow into the broader People tech stack.
  • Establish and uphold data governance standards to ensure accuracy, privacy, and security across the People tech stack.
  • Build advanced dashboards, reporting frameworks, and analytics tools for People, Finance, and leadership teams.
  • Own audit readiness for all systems, supporting compliance requirements and regulatory reporting.
  • Lead initiatives to streamline, automate, and scale People processes across multiple locations and functions.
  • Train People Partners, administrators, and business partners on systems functionality and best practices.
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for system issues, troubleshooting, and vendor management.
  • Monitor industry trends and recommend new tools or improvements that enhance the employee experience and business operations.
  • Collaborate with leaders across the company to translate business needs into system solutions.

Qualifications

  • 6–8 years of experience in HRIS administration, People Operations systems, or HR technology roles.
  • Deep, hands-on experience configuring and managing at least one enterprise-level HRIS, with exposure to multiple people systems.
  • Strong command of HR processes including onboarding, compensation cycles, performance, compliance, benefits, and employee data management.
  • Proven ability to lead system implementations, upgrades, and integrations.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience building complex reports and dashboards for leadership.
  • Comfortable managing large, recurring projects with minimal oversight.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, especially when working with sensitive data.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex system issues and communicate solutions clearly.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with IT, Finance, and People teams.
  • Proficiency in Excel and comfort working with data, formulas, and basic analysis.
  • Experience implementing, managing, or migrating to Workday or another enterprise HRIS.
  • Experience in startup or fast-growth environments.
  • Familiarity with APIs, integration tools, or data mapping.
  • Experience developing systems documentation and governance frameworks.
