About the Team

The Marketing and Communications teams at Scale are responsible for shaping and sharing the Scale story with the world. We are a dedicated, multidisciplinary group of marketers and communicators who are passionate about our brand, our products, and our customers. As our organization's programs continue to grow in scope and complexity, we are looking for a strategic and operationally-minded Chief of Staff to join our team.

You will:

  • Synthesize insights from across the business, customer base, and market landscape to inform our strategy and provide critical context for leadership decision-making.
  • Identify and incubate new, high-priority opportunities and programs, owning special projects from conception to execution that do not yet have a natural home within the organization.
  • Drive the operational cadence for the Marketing and Communications teams, ensuring that all programs are running efficiently, on time, and on budget.
  • Lead the operational cadence for Marketing and Communications leadership, ensuring alignment, facilitating effective decision-making, and tracking progress against our strategic goals.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between the Marketing and Communications teams, as well as with other key stakeholders across the organization, including Product, Sales, and the executive team.
  • Develop and implement processes and systems to improve the overall operational efficiency and effectiveness of the Marketing and Communications organizations.
  • Prepare and present executive-level communications and presentations for internal and external audiences.

Ideally, you'd have:

  • 5-7+ years of experience in a strategic or operational role, such as a Principal Marketer, Chief of Staff, business operations, or management consulting.
  • A strong understanding of marketing and communications principles and practices, ideally within a B2B technology or enterprise software company.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage complex, cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • A highly organized and detail-oriented approach, with a passion for operational excellence.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and rapidly changing environment.

Nice to haves:

  • Experience in the AI or machine learning industry.
  • Experience working in a high-growth startup environment.
  • Experience with marketing and project management tools such as HubSpot, Salesforce, and Asana.
