The Sensors Division specializes in the development of advanced sensor systems, with a particular focus on airborne and surface-based radar, space-based sensing, electronic warfare, and underwater acoustics. This position is within the Space Missions and Sensing (SMS) Sector of the Sensors Division. In this sector, we develop and deliver technology to advance space-based sensing, space control, and counter-sensing missions.
SMS is seeking a Principal Real-Time Software Engineer to provide hands-on leadership in the development, implementation, and integration of command and control (C2) and real-time sensor processing solutions for advanced multi-function Radar systems. In this role, your team will implement and integrate digital signal processing over the complete signal processing chain for closed loop radar operations. You will conduct performance analysis through simulations and real-world testing to validate and optimize the products you create. Since the system will be deployed in operationally, the products you develop need to meet standards of quality, maintainability, and reuse. This position will offer the opportunity for technical growth in terms of system design, novel implementations, integration, and fielding of Radar and control systems.
A successful candidate will have demonstrated contributions in areas such as: software engineering, system integration, Radar signal processing, and test & evaluation. This position requires skills in working with multi-disciplinary teams, interest in signal processing, and ability to develop and deliver system solutions for operations. Strong interpersonal, communication, and technical skills are required. Applicant is expected to be self-motivated, detail oriented, and has a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate.
Full-Time Salary Range: $206,000 - $284,000
