2026 Summer Intern - Hardware Test, Mechanical Engineering
Interns will join our Hardware Test Engineering team, with opportunities across Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Software Engineering. You'll collaborate across disciplines, gain exposure to cutting-edge aerospace technology, and build systems that enable reliable testing of our products.
What You'll Do:
- Design and build mechanical fixtures, mounts, and enclosures for test stands.
- Work with precision measurement equipment and mechanical subsystems.
- Support prototyping, fabrication, and integration of mechanical designs.
- Assist in design reviews and document test stand build processes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- You are an undergraduate, graduate, or PhD student expected to graduate in December 2025 or Spring 2026.
- Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM field.
- Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals relevant to your discipline.
- Experience with hands-on technical work in a lab, production, or project setting.
- Demonstrated history of taking ownership of projects and delivering results.
- Record of working hard, being a trustworthy teammate, holding yourself and others to high standards, and being kind to others.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with CAD tools such as SolidWorks, NX, or CATIA.
- Hands-on experience with machining, 3D printing, or fabrication.
- Demonstrated adaptability, agility, and ability to innovate under pressure to meet dynamic project demands and drive successful outcomes.
$37 - $54 an hour
Rising Bachelor's graduate = $37/hour
Rising Master's graduate = $42/hour
Rising PhD graduate = $54/hour
+ Housing stipend provided for those who qualify.
Intern Program Dates: June 1st - Aug 7th OR June 22nd - Aug 28th
