- The Principal Software Engineer will lead the development of the HMD product APIs and server infrastructure, focusing on implementing robust APIs and middleware solutions for seamless interaction between simulated and real agents
- Responsibilities include driving the deployment and configuration of agents on various hardware platforms, defining requirements for the hybrid infrastructure, and contributing to the integrated installer command line tool and APIs for Hivemind software
- The role involves implementing comprehensive documentation and tutorials to onboard internal engineers and external clients quickly, providing clear instructions on how to use HMD products effectively
- The successful candidate will work on orchestrating autonomous agents in sophisticated simulations, configuring test beds, and deploying software configurations on robotic systems, while ensuring operational excellence and efficient resource utilization
⚡ Requirements
- Experienced software engineer with a minimum of 15 years in the industry, preferably with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Proficient in designing and developing production quality software systems, with a strong background in cloud computing solutions and architecture, particularly Kubernetes and container orchestration
- Skilled in developing and distributing web APIs, including gRPC and RESTful APIs, and experience with Authentication and Authorization frameworks and protocols
- Solid understanding of network protocols and experience in designing and implementing networked applications
- Previous experience in a highly regulated industry, such as aerospace or government contracting, with a focus on secure and compliant software development practices
