✨ About The Role
- Lead studies to develop a multi-year look ahead for Shield AI’s Jet Autonomy product offerings, assessing everything required to develop, deploy, operate, sustain, and maintain autonomous systems on military aircraft
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine product development strategies, including technical, management, and pricing aspects
- Communicate findings through various artifacts like product roadmaps, whitepapers, and presentations
- Work closely with Product Managers, Program Managers, Business Development, sponsors, operational end-users, industry partners, and engineering teams to define what, when, why, and for whom products will be built
- This role involves high impact responsibilities and requires a deep understanding of military jet aircraft operations and development.
⚡ Requirements
- Requires a minimum of 15 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience with a Master's degree or PhD
- Must have deep expertise in jet aviation, including understanding of aviation autonomy, DoD program funding & development cycles, military aviation testing, and integrated hardware, software, and systems engineering efforts
- Excellent communication skills are essential to effectively interact with various stakeholders such as business executives, engineers, customers, and senior military leaders
- Preferred qualifications include Air Force Weapons School or Navy Top Gun graduate, Test Pilot School graduate, and military positional leadership experience
- The ideal candidate would have operational planning experience and a background in jet aviation as a flight engineer or aviator
