- The Staff Manufacturing Engineer will develop and implement composite airframe assembly processes for advanced aerospace structures.
- This role involves designing and optimizing assembly tools, fixtures, and jigs to support high-precision structural integration.
- The engineer will support the fabrication, trimming, drilling, fastening, and bonding of composite and metallic aircraft components.
- Defining and documenting work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process flow for production is a key responsibility.
- Collaboration with design, quality, and production teams is essential to ensure manufacturability and compliance with specifications.
⚡ Requirements
- The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in composite airframe manufacturing, assembly, or tooling design is required.
- Strong understanding of composite materials, layup processes, curing, and bonding techniques is essential for success in this role.
- The candidate should possess expertise in aircraft structure assembly, including knowledge of fastening, drilling, and tolerance stack-up.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as CATIA V5, Siemens NX, or equivalent is necessary for tooling and assembly process design.
