Snorkel AI

Snorkel AI helps enterprises transform expert knowledge and their own data into specialized, production-ready AI, taking a data-centric approach that began as a Stanford AI Lab research project in 2015.

Operations Manager, Expert Contributor Experience

At Snorkel, we believe meaningful AI doesn't start with the model, it starts with the data.

We're on a mission to help enterprises transform expert knowledge into specialized AI at scale. The AI landscape has gone through incredible changes between 2015, when Snorkel started as a research project in the Stanford AI Lab, to the generative AI breakthroughs of today. But one thing has remained constant: the data you use to build AI is the key to achieving differentiation, high performance, and production-ready systems. We work with some of the world's largest organizations to empower scientists, engineers, financial experts, product creators, journalists, and more to build custom AI with their data faster than ever before. Excited to help us redefine how AI is built? Apply to be the newest Snorkeler!

About the Team

The Data as a Service (DaaS) organization at Snorkel is one of the company's most critical growth engines. Within DaaS, the EC Experience team owns the end-to-end lifecycle of our expert contributors and manages the marketplace that connects our expert community to high-impact customer work. As our DaaS business and EC network scale, this team requires strong operational leadership to build a highly effective, engaging, and retentive EC experience that enables experts to consistently deliver exceptional outcomes.

About the Role

We are looking for a growth-oriented strategy and operations manager to help build and scale the systems that power our EC community and marketplace. In this role, you will help drive the strategy, metrics, and operating models across the EC lifecycle — from onboarding and activation to long-term engagement and retention — while supporting the development of key product and operational capabilities that power our marketplace and project platform.

You will identify gaps in the contributor funnel and platform experience, and partner cross-functionally with Delivery, Product, Engineering, Supply, Marketing, and Analytics to help implement scalable initiatives.

This role blends strategic thinking with hands-on execution and is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex operational challenges, working across teams to drive initiatives forward, and building the operational foundations that enable the business to scale.

About You

Responsibilities

  • Partner across the EC Experience team to help operationalize the EC Lifecycle strategy and support key strategic priorities
  • Own and drive key operational initiatives and cross-functional programs from planning through execution
  • Track progress against goals, proactively identifying risks, dependencies, and blockers and helping coordinate solutions
  • Support decision-making by developing analyses and structured insights that inform prioritization and trade-offs
  • Take ownership of ambiguous operational problems by structuring analyses, developing recommendations, and driving implementation
  • Act as a cross-functional connector across Delivery, Product, Engineering, Supply, Marketing, and Analytics to ensure alignment and effective execution

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in operations, project management, or related roles in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven track record of building and optimizing operational processes from the ground up
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience creating queries and extracting insights from data
  • Excellent project and/or program management abilities with attention to detail and follow-through
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and visual), and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Prior experience working with engineering and product teams

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience in marketplace, consumer lifecycle, or data-driven businesses
  • Self-started who thrives in ambiguous environments and can build structure from scratch
  • Continuous learner excited to pick up new tools and technologies
