As a Microelectronics Technician you will be joining a small team that supports the production of highspeed RF and optical modules that is instrumental in achieving high-speed internet for the world's most advanced internet system.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Operate, maintain, and calibrate microelectronics equipment in an ESD-controlled cleanroom, emphasizing detail, accuracy, precision, and efficiency.
  • Manufacture high-mix, medium-volume high-frequency RF products using diverse tool sets, semiconductor dies, and high-tolerance stacking techniques.
  • Interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and standards like MIL-Spec and JEDEC-Spec to guide production.
  • Set up and calibrate die attach machines (e.g., pick-up/stamping collets, dispense needles) and automated ball bonders (e.g., wire spools, capillaries, EFO wands).
  • Execute Design of Experiments (DOE) on epoxy selection, plasma recipes, bondline thickness, and wirebond integrity.
  • Verify processes using metrology tools (e.g., CSAM, X-ray, 3D profilometers, pull/shear testers, contact angle goniometers) to assess epoxy voids, wirebond loop heights, and pull/shear forces.
  • Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, RF, and manufacturing engineers to refine processes for current production and future designs.
  • Perform root cause analysis, recommend corrective actions (e.g., machine, design, or tooling modifications), and partner with on-site suppliers for improvements.
