✨ About The Role
- The QMED will assist in the safe operation and maintenance of vessel mechanical systems, including propulsion and electrical systems.
- Responsibilities include managing vessel fluids and resources, as well as maintaining engine room reports and logbooks.
- The role requires standing engine room watches as part of the Engineering Watch.
- The QMED will support the cleanliness and upkeep of the vessel while onboard.
- The position involves working closely with the Marine Operations team to ensure readiness and assist in repairs as needed.
âš¡ Requirements
- The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and a Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC) with a QMED – Oiler license.
- A minimum of 1 year of professional experience in an offshore QMED or Oiler role is required.
- Candidates should possess valid STCW Medical Certification and be able to pass relevant USCG examinations.
- Experience with vessel management systems and safety management systems is preferred.
- The successful individual will be willing to work outdoors and in maritime environments, demonstrating flexibility in their work schedule.
