- The Sheet Metal Development Technician will be responsible for operating waterjet, laser, and press brake machinery, including programming and material procurement.
- This role involves finding innovative ways to produce complex sheet metal assemblies, sometimes without clear design definitions.
- Maintaining a clean work environment and organizing material areas, including managing material auto re-order, is a key responsibility.
- The technician will ensure that customers receive cleaned, deburred, and complete parts, contributing to overall product quality.
- Basic machine maintenance for high uptime is expected, along with the ability to navigate NX for design and programming tasks.

- The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 4 years of professional experience in operating waterjet and/or laser cutting machines.
- A strong background in press brake operations, with a minimum of 1 year of experience, is essential for success in this role.
- Candidates should possess the ability to read blueprints and perform basic shop math, demonstrating a solid understanding of sheet metal k factors and their applications.
- The successful technician will be detail-oriented, capable of maintaining close tolerances on sheet metal parts as per engineering drawings.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to propose design recommendations to engineering teams will be highly valued.
