Sr. Network Product Architect

Sr. Network Product Architect (Starlink)

The Sr. Network Product Architect is the technical interface for Starlink's enterprise products to business customers in all global markets. You will help Starlink drive a new era of commercial connectivity by engaging with enterprise and residential customers to demonstrate how Starlink technology can be used to address their needs. Building confidence with key customer influencers and overcoming technical challenges will be critical for success in the role.

You will work closely with Software Engineering, Network Engineering, Product Engineering, Network Operations, Customer Support, Account Management and Enterprise Sales teams to find creative solutions to complex technical and business problems.

Responsibilities:

  • Be the technical subject matter expert and build trust with customers to creatively solve technical challenges
  • Work with customers to understand their technical requirements and work closely with Starlink engineering teams to guide the direction of technical solutions and products
  • Be the voice of the customer to influence product development roadmaps for new features and services
  • Support complex business development deals to build long-term strategic partnerships
  • Troubleshoot issues affecting key customers, hold data reviews with engineering and business stakeholders, and triage the response
  • Create best practices, reference architectures, and technical guides demonstrating integration details and value proposition of Starlink
  • Manage complex integration efforts with 3rd party systems and people

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS degree in an engineering discipline
  • 5+ years of professional hands-on experience designing, building and/or architecting network solutions
  • Experience providing Network or Wireless integration solutions

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Proven track record of successful pre-sales initiatives and securing pivotal technical victories in high-value, multi-million-dollar transactions
  • Deep understanding of enterprise networks including but not limited to:
    • Common IETF and 3GPP standards
    • Networking monitoring with sFlow, RFC 2544, Y.1564, TWAMP, POLQA
    • TCP/IPv4/v6, NAT, BGP, OSPF, DHCP, LACP, MPLS, VLAN, DSCP, L3VPN L2VPN, SSH
    • Software defined networking (OpenFlow, OVS, SD-WAN for example)
    • Linux networking, DPDK, user-space network stack
    • Open-source software contributions

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be willing to travel domestically and globally when needed
  • Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed

Compensation and Benefits:

Pay Range: Network Engineer/Senior: $170,000.00 - $230,000.00/per year

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
