- The Satellite Mechanical Engineer will own the full lifecycle of critical satellite structures, mechanisms, and thermal management devices from concept through orbit.
- The role involves using CAD and programming environments to design for cost-effectiveness and reliability in launch and space environments.
- The engineer will perform finite element and thermal analyses, characterize spacecraft structural dynamics, and predict on-orbit behavior.
- Collaboration with an interdisciplinary team of engineers is a key aspect of this position.
- The engineer will also be responsible for generating drawings employing GD&T best practices and performing trade studies and cost estimations.
