As Director of UX Design, you will shape how users experience and interact with Strider's platform—transforming complex geopolitical data into clear, actionable insights.
This role sits at the intersection of design, product, and intelligence. You will define and drive the user experience vision across Strider's products, lead strategic design initiatives, and elevate design as a core capability within the organization. You'll partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Intelligence teams to ensure our platform is intuitive, scalable, and impactful for global users.
What You'll Do
- Define and drive the vision for user experience across Strider's platform, aligning design strategy with company and product priorities
- Lead high-impact, complex design initiatives from concept through execution
- Establish and evolve design standards, frameworks, and systems to ensure consistency and scalability
- Partner with Product Managers, Engineers, and Intelligence teams to shape product direction and define new capabilities
- Translate user needs, business goals, and technical constraints into cohesive product experiences
- Facilitate alignment across stakeholders, ensuring clarity on priorities, trade-offs, and outcomes
- Deliver high-quality interaction design, workflows, and data visualizations that simplify complex intelligence insights
- Elevate the overall product experience through thoughtful, user-centered design decisions
- Contribute to and scale Strider's design system to support consistency across products
- Lead user research efforts to better understand customer needs, workflows, and pain points
- Synthesize insights into actionable recommendations that inform product and design strategy
- Foster a culture of continuous learning through feedback, testing, and iteration
- Mentor and support designers, helping to grow design capability across the organization
- Advocate for design as a strategic function within Strider
- Influence product and business decisions through strong design perspective and communication
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in product design, UX design, or related disciplines, including experience leading large-scale or complex design initiatives
- Proven experience defining and driving UX strategy across multiple products or product areas
- Experience leading cross-functional collaboration with Product, Engineering, and other stakeholders to deliver end-to-end user experiences
- Strong portfolio demonstrating interaction design, systems thinking, and data visualization in complex applications
- Experience conducting and applying user research to inform product and design decisions
- Ability to translate complex concepts into intuitive, user-centered experiences
- Experience managing multiple initiatives and prioritizing effectively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building or scaling design systems across a product organization
- Experience designing agentic & AI-native experiences
- Experience designing for data-rich, analytical, or enterprise platforms
- Experience leading or mentoring designers and contributing to team development
- Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma or similar)
