What You'll Do:

  • Safely handle, transfer, label and categorize hazardous chemicals and waste while maintaining accumulation areas with regular audits and proper documentation.
  • Respond to chemical spills and incidents using appropriate PPE; conduct routine lab safety audits; and participate in site evacuations with possible after hours support.
  • Support programs related to air quality, water discharge, and solid/hazardous waste.
  • Maintain chemical inventory, order lab supplies, track and replenish PPE, and update internal safety publications.
  • Coordinate vendor visits and EH&S activities across Thousand Oaks and Camarillo sites.

What You Need:

  • Ability to research site operation regulations, identify and evaluate occupational exposures to harmful substances, and make recommendations for the control and elimination of hazards.
  • Acquire and maintain necessary training and certifications relating to hazardous material handling, HAZWOPER, and DOT operations.
  • Ability to wear PPE as needed to include respirators, steel toe boots, etc.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Sharepoint.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel between Thousand Oaks and Camarillo.
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience in related field with at least 1 year of experience in EH&S working with an industrial, manufacturing, or research and development facility.
  • U.S. citizenship due to access restrictions.

Salary Range: $37,200.00-$49,600.00
