Job Description

Summary

FLIR Unmanned Aerial Systems, a subsidiary of Teledyne FLIR, located in the greater Montreal area, is looking for dynamic and motivated candidates to fill an important position in its manufacturing team. This ISO 9001 FLIR facility designs, builds, and services advanced surveillance radar systems that are sold worldwide. Our radar systems are amongst the best performers and most reliable in the industry.

Responsibilities

Overall day to day coordination and support with the responsibilities in specific areas listed below:

  • Inspect Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs)
  • Conduct Acceptance Testing on PCBs
  • Debug and repair PCBs
  • Electrical and mechanical assembly
  • Perform thermal cycling test on final product
  • Enter SW configuration in final product
  • Monitor and schedule equipment for calibration
  • Participate in lean manufacturing implementation (5S and other projects)
  • Perform maintenance on equipment
  • Perform calibration test
  • Repair defective radar
  • Other duties as required

Requirements

  • College diploma in Electronics
  • 1 year of experience in an electronic manufacturing environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Experience in a small business environment is an asset
  • Bilingual- strong verbal and written communication skills in French and English language
  • Working knowledge of MS office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

This position requires access to export-controlled information or items (i.e. regulated technology or technical data per ITAR/EAR US regulations). Applicants must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.

Eligible to be certified to examine, possess, and transfer items under the Canadian Controlled Goods Program and legally authorized to work in Canada
