- This internship is a 12-week program based at Vast's headquarters in Long Beach, California.
- Interns will have hands-on opportunities to design and build space hardware and software for artificial-gravity human-rated space stations.
- Responsibilities will vary based on each intern's area of expertise, including Human Systems, Thermal Hardware, Environmental Control and Life Support Systems (ECLSS), and Integration.
- Interns will play a crucial role in the development of systems required for the operation of commercial space stations.

- Candidates should be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Successful applicants will have experience applying technical skills outside of the classroom, such as through extracurricular projects, volunteering, or prior internships.
- Proficiency in CAD software, such as SolidWorks or CATIA, is preferred for 3D modeling and simulation tasks.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving capabilities are essential for this role.
- The ideal candidate will be self-directed, possess a positive attitude, and demonstrate a collaborative spirit when working with different teams.
