IT Support & Systems Internship
We are seeking a detail-oriented IT intern to join our team and gain practical experience in IT support operations, systems administration, and asset management. This internship offers hands-on exposure to help desk operations, data management, equipment deployment, and audiovisual support in a dynamic professional environment. The position is based at our Luling Pecan Office with remote work flexibility.
The intern will be responsible for:
Data Analysis, Review & Entry (25%)
- Perform data analysis and validation for IT systems and services
- Review and maintain accuracy of IT asset and inventory databases
- Enter and update information in IT management systems
- Generate reports and identify data quality improvement opportunities
- Support data-driven decision making for IT operations
IT Help Desk & Systems Support (35%)
- Receive, triage, and troubleshoot help desk requests
- Assign tickets appropriately and track resolution progress
- Provide first-level technical support for hardware and software issues
- Manage and maintain IT SaaS applications and user access
- Document solutions and update knowledge base articles
- Monitor system performance and report issues to senior staff
Equipment Setup, Deployment & Inventory Management (25%)
- Configure and deploy new user laptops and mobile devices
- Maintain accurate inventory of IT assets and equipment
- Perform equipment setup for new employees and contractors
- Track equipment lifecycle from procurement to decommissioning
- Coordinate equipment returns, repairs, and replacements
- Ensure proper asset tagging and documentation
Audiovisual (AV) Support (15%)
- Set up and configure Luling conference room AV equipment
- Troubleshoot AV issues and provide on-site support for meetings
- Maintain AV equipment inventory and coordinate maintenance
- Assist with virtual meeting setup and technical support
- Document AV procedures and create user guides
Qualifications:
Required:
- Currently pursuing degree with focus on Information Technology or related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Customer service orientation with professional demeanor
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Preferred:
- Familiarity with help desk ticketing systems
- Basic understanding of Windows and mobile device management
- Experience with inventory or asset management systems
- Knowledge of AV equipment and conferencing technologies
