Position Overview: X-Bow Systems Inc. is seeking several motivated and talented individuals to join our Manufacturing/Multidisciplinary Engineering Internship Program. This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in various fields, including industrial engineering, material sciences, petroleum, industrial hygiene, fire science, and technical writing. Interns will work on real-world projects, collaborate with industry professionals, and develop valuable skills to advance their careers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Chemical Handling: Assist in the safe handling, storage, and processing of chemicals used in manufacturing operations.
- Operations Support: Work on system operations, clean-out processes, and equipment maintenance to ensure smooth production workflows.
- CAD Design: Utilize CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) to design and analyze components and systems for manufacturing projects.
- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including process manuals, safety protocols, and operational reports.
- Material Analysis: Apply principles of rheology and tribology to analyze and optimize material performance in manufacturing systems.
- Safety and Compliance: Support occupational health and safety initiatives, including industrial hygiene and fire safety assessments.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in one of the following fields: Industrial Engineering, Material Sciences, Occupational Health, Petroleum Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Fire Science, Technical Writing.
- Strong interest in manufacturing processes and hands-on learning.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).
- Familiarity with rheology and tribology concepts is a plus.
- Excellent technical writing skills and ability to create clear, concise documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of chemical handling and safety protocols.
- Experience with material testing and analysis.
- Familiarity with industrial hygiene practices and fire safety principles.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
